Kahilu Theatre will be holding coffee auditions for their upcoming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. The performances will be Aug. 31, Sept. 1 and 2, 2018 according Island News Hawaii.
Rehearsals will be evenings and weekends and will begin in early August at the Kahilu Theatre.
The roles of Emile, Nellie, Bloody Mary, Cable and Captain Brackett have already been cast.
Island News Hawaii reported general auditions for the remainder of the cast will be held Friday, June 15 at the Theatre. Auditions will be held for Ngana (about age 11) and Jerome (about age 8) will be begin at 5 p.m.
Auditions for adults will begin at 6 p.m.
Island News Hawaii said those auditioning are asked to prepare 16 bars of a song of your choice and be ready to learn a short dance routine. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve an audition slot.
Kahilu Theater’s Artistic Director Chuck Gessert and with Musical Director Barbara Kopra told Island News Hawaii they will have final casting authority.
